Manipur Relief Camps: Be the Hope for the Displaced
More than 50,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) live in the relief camps in Manipur, set up as humanitarian responses when ethnic violence erupted in 2023. What people thought would be maybe a week or a month is now going to be three years of displacement from their homes, lives, and livelihoods. Hopes of a young family washed away!
On 14 September 2025, Hyderabad faced extremely heavy rainfall, resulting in significant flooding in various low-lying areas, including Musheerabad. J. Dinesh Kumar, who was 32 years old, was carried away by floodwaters near a stormwater drain in Musheerabad. Despite thorough searches conducted over several days by government search and rescue officials, police, and disaster response teams, his body has not been found to date. Dinesh is survived by his wife, Kalwala Rajamani
