On 14 September 2025, Hyderabad faced extremely heavy rainfall, resulting in significant flooding in various low-lying areas, including Musheerabad. J. Dinesh Kumar, who was 32 years old, was carried away by floodwaters near a stormwater drain in Musheerabad. Despite thorough searches conducted over several days by government search and rescue officials, police, and disaster response teams, his body has not been found to date. Dinesh is survived by his wife, Kalwala Rajamani
