M. Sujatha is a SC domestic worker. Her husband works in a Hotel. At present, they are not full-time workers due to various reasons. They have two children: a boy [7] & a girl [8 months]. Due to the ill health of Sujatha and the need to support their children, they started a small business selling support for their betel leaves (paan items). To become self-sufficient, they are requesting some livelihood support.

Name: D. Dhanamma, Age: 56.

Place; Guntur, AP

D. Dhanamma is a domestic worker; she has two sons. When she was young, her husband entered into the eternal abode. As a widow, she is living with her elder sister’s family, which includes two children and a daughter-in-law. She started a part-time job as a domestic worker and opened a small, petty shop. She would like to have sustainability, hence she is requesting livelihood support.

Name: M. Dhanamma, Age: 57.

Dhanamma is a domestic worker at an early age of marriage, her husband Francis expired due to a heart attack. As a girl child, she was expected to do domestic work and then get married.

She conceived two girl children, but the elder one’s husband expired due to ill health. At present, she and her daughter both became widows and are living together with two children. They would like to send the grandchildren to school. Dhanamma also has problems with her legs and knee joint pains. She has started a tiffin sales business, she is requesting more investment to earn more, and to have food security, and for the well-being of the children and their development.

Name: K. Sandhya Rani: Area: Perecherlla, Guntur: Age:  34

K. Sandhya Rani is the daughter of an agricultural laborer. At an early age, she got married and had one boy child. Her native place is Perecherla, and she was given in marriage to a man from Kopalle village in the Tenali area.  Her husband is a sadist and used to torture her [sic], physically and psychologically.


Still, she trusted him and stayed with him. At that time, he burnt his house and everything in it, beat up his parents, and now he has left them and is roaming somewhere. Sandhya Rani has been staying with her parents for the last year and is relying on daily wages as a labourer, facing hardships in maintaining her family. She learned tailoring and the art of clothing stitching part-time. As a single mother, she requests financial support for her livelihood.

Name: G. Baby Sarojini , Age:  55


A. Baby Sarojini is a domestic worker who has two girls and one boy, and has brought them up and settled them in married life. Her husband expired when the children were small, at the age of 30 years. She has limited education, so she started a small clothing business in a rented shop. So, she is expecting the livelihood support to increase her income and become independent. She also wants to overcome the problems of widowhood that stem from traditional beliefs and customs.  The Untouchables donation can expand her business.
