NEED:  “Myanmar Refugee Women Weaving Project -2025: Mizoram”

Rough Project  Estimate :

Sihhmui camp 1-2 Weavers/Sihhmui camp 2 –4 weavers/Sairang camp -5 Weavers  =Total 11 [eleven] Women Weavers. 

Loom requirement 11 @ 4200.  Yarn to start Rs.550 per set of Puan ( =loongy)

Weaving charge per Puan Rs. 1500. Each woman is to provide 4 sets each

Budget:

Cost of Traditional loom- 11 x Rs 4200  = 46,200

Cost of Yarn Acrylic- 11 weavers x 550 per Yarn  per pyan x 4 pyans each    = 24,200

Weaving charge 1500 for plain design 4 pyans x11 weavers: = 66,000

Project Manager 1 person 5000 x12 months   =60,000

        Total Rs. 1,96,400 (Rupees one lakh ninety six thousand four hundred) only.

Our Scout Rini visited the Myanmar 3 refugee camps on August 6 & 8, 2025 at Sihhmui camp 1 & 2, and Sairang camp. I identified 11 women willing to do weaving.Once they completed 4 set of Puan weaving, hope they can continue with design. If they are good in design Puan, there is a possibility of self-employment. However, if possible they need Project Manager to assist them in selling their products at least 1-2 years.
