NEED: The Photographs below are from Lawngtlai district in south Mizoram. There are 14 main entry points for Myanmar refugees, Lawngtlai is one of the 14. About 70 family houses were submerged by the monsoon flood, the government of Mizoram relocated them in an elevated area. It is like "blessing in disguise" when the Govt of Mizoram is giving ration for six months with a special package when others do not get it. Till December they are ok with food. However they have to rebuild their now-submerged houses. Material is available but difficult to transport.
PLACE: Myanmar Refugee Camp, Lawngtlai, South Mizoram.
SCOUT: Dr Rini Ralte, Women in Action
Donation Required: Rs. 50,000/- [ or any part thereof]
