Ten very poor families were located with the help of the local Panchayat in Kerala. Each of them had a different need - ten real life stories. TU was able to distribute dry rations to them. There were tears and blessings for our local Volunteer from these ageing people whose families were the recipients.

Ten Families- ten stories- ten needs which you can help to fulfill.
Donation Requirement: We would like to give each family Rs 1000/- worth of dry rations. A total of Rs 10,000/- [or any portion thereof]
1. Name of Nominee: Rajamma (78 years old widow)
Address: Villiyathu veedu, Aickadu, Kodumon P.O.
Occupation: nil
Family Monthly income: Rs4500
Rajamma lives with her son Rameshan who is a 52 year liver patient, vasanthy (daughter in law) is a MGNREGA labour and two granddaughters who study in 8th standard. Providing this family a kit of essential items will help them during this crisis as no one in the family has work currently.
2. Name of Nominee: Narayani (80 years old)
Address: pymannil house, Aickadu, Kodumon P.O
Occupation: nil
Family Monthly income: Rs7000
Narayani is a paralyzed patient. She lives with her daughter Geetha who is handicapped below waist, another daughter Tulasi who is a house maid labour and grandson 7 years old who studies in second standard. Providing this family a kit of essential items will help them during this crisis as no one in the family has work currently.

Savithiri lives her grandson’s wife Rashmy who is a single mother working as a sales girl in a small textile shop, great-grandson studying in 9th standard and great granddaughter studying in 7th standard. Their house was built with the help of the panchayat. Providing this family a kit of essential items will help them during this crisis.

Occupation: Agricultural laborer

Mr. Sathyan lives with is wife Ponamma who is a liver patient and two daughters, Neethu and Geethu doing their 2nd year in BCom. Their house is built under the hrijan welfare scheme. Providing this family a kit of essential items worth Rs500 will help them during this crisis. I personally know about Mr. Sathyan case as he comes to my house to work.

Occupation: laborer under MGNREGA

Mrs.Lissy lives with her husband Mr. Mathews; they both are laborers under MGNREGA. Their son just passed his 12th standard and daughter studying in class 10. Their house was built with the help of Kodumon Orthodox Church. Providing this family a kit of essential items worth Rs. 500 will help them during this crisis.

Vijayamma is a widow; she lives with her two daughters. One of them is a mental patient and other daughter works for as a hotel staff. Their house is built under the hrijan welfare scheme. Providing this family a kit of essential items worth Rs. 500 will help them during this crisis as her daughter does not have work currently.

Mr. Thankappan is a cancer patient. He lives with his wife who is a MGNREGA worker and his late son’s wife who also is a MGNREGA worker. They don’t have a proper house and live in a shed. Providing this family a kit of essential items worth Rs500 will help them during this crisis

Mrs. Omana is a 62year old widow. She lives with her son Udayakumar who is a rubber tapping laborer, daughter in law reshmy and two granddaughters who are in class 7th and 8th respectively. Their house was built under the panchayat housing scheme. As it is rainy season in kerala, udayakumar doesnot have work currently, so I feel providing this family with a food kit worth 500 would be really helpful during this crisis.
