Pawan Rani, Lakshmi V, Ranjan, Poong Kodi, and Prabhavathy. These women were battling against the loss of salaries and jobs in order to keep their home fires burning and their families fed and contented. This was a part of COLT’s COVID CHALLENGE. One of our Scouts in Chennai located their need and TU stepped in to support them with timely rations. The COVID situation in Tamil Nadu has not improved substantially, but it has provided respite for them

In the limelight after the onslaught of COVID 19 are a new group of WARRIORS - doctors, nurses, hospital staff, cleaners, policemen and women, garbage collecters… but have you met these warriors? They are battling against the loss of salaries and jobs in order to keep their home fires burning and their families fed and contented.
Meet our Heroes – women who are in need of urgent financial assistance to buy dry rations:
1. Pawan Rani . 2. Lakshmi V 3. Ranjan . 4. Poong Kodi. 5. Prabhavathy
Occupation: They are labourers working in factories in the Sidco Estate which is connected to the Ambattur Industrial Estate in Chennai in Tamil Nad where the Virus is attacking violently.
Monthly Income: Since the factories have been shutdown owing to lockdown, they have been finding it hard to meet their daily needs due to the stoppage of daily wages.
Donation Requirement: Rs 5000/-
